"At just 11 years old, I suffered an alcohol-induced coma, an episode that changed my life thanks to a transformative agent: sports. My mother raised me alone; she was a Black, single woman, and she had to work hard to support us. I spent a lot of time on the streets. After my coma, my mother changed my school, and the new school offered various extracurricular activities like Judo. That's when my transformation began. As I fell in love with the sport, my behavior also changed. Through sports, I was able to become who I am today. We believe in the power of sports as a social transformer because I witnessed its power in my own life, and now it's time to give back to the world everything I received through my program!"
